My first impulse it to delete your post, Lucyluck. This case has EVERYTHING to do with Shanda Sharer and her family.
Your philosophy on crime and punishment is askew, not to mention your understanding of rehabilitation and mental illness.
On second thought, I think I will delete your post. Don't ever come onto this site and call Shanda, her mother, or any other of her family members disgusting names again. If you do I will not hesitate to contact your internet provider.

I just wanted to let everyone know that after our discussion here regarding if Melinda is paid a wage for training these companionship/service dogs, I contacted a couple of people.
I have been assured that QUOTE:
"No. It's strictly an accepted volunteer program".
I have been told by two ex inmates at IWP that the "dog girls" do indeed receive a wage for the work they do training the dogs. So I have had conflicting information. I tend to believe the ladies that have been released from IWP. Not that I believe that my other source intentionally gave me the wrong info on purpose.
I have emailed Sally Irvin, the woman in charge of the ICAN program at IWP asking that she confirm this issue either way.
Will let everyone know what i find out.
Yep Jason. I had seen those comments in Shanda and her family's album. 
And I agree that Shanda looks a lot like her mother. So does Paije IMO.

I've seen some of your other comments Jason. Probably not all of them. Sorry it took so long to reply but been away on a little getaway with my daughter and her family for my grandson's 7th birthday party. Went to Jellystone Campgrounds in IL. I'll check that album for your comments.

No Jason, I do not believe Jacque is homophobic. She and I actually discussed this subject. One of the things she said to me stands out in my mind. I'm not going to quote her directly because I don't want to say it is exactly what she said word for word. But in essence she asked me,
"How could I be homophobic and hate gays when Shanda COULD have very well grown up and been a lesbian?" She doesn't believe that would have happened if Shanda had been allowed to live. BUT, she is well aware that was a possibility.
Jacque is not a bigot, not prejudice, and loves people and God. She's not perfect, but none of us are.
Oh yeah,, and I also find it despicable that people say such awful things about a 12 yr. old CHILD that was tortured and murdered for TEN HOURS, or her family.

I get angry as well when I see all the negativity on here towards shanda and her family. It's despicable.

Why thank you Jason! Never been called an Angel before. Don't let this crooked halo fool you, I can go from Angel to Witch really quick when people start putting Jacque, Steve, or Shanda down! And I don't do stupid and just mean well either! It brings the worst out in me. I've been trying to be more tolerant the past couple of years. O:)

Like Jacque said if you don't let good things came from bad things then nothing ever get's better. That's is true.
I agree Jason. That is important to Jacque. That good things happen and people are helped from what happened to Shanda. Some people have gotten angry because Jacque has given her blessing to allow Melinda to train the dog Angel in Shanda's honor. For some reason that see that as Jacque forgiving Melinda, or trying to help Melinda get out of prison earlier. That IS NOT the case at all. Jacque has ALWAYS said that she is leaving the forgiveness to come from God, and she has made it clear that she wants, and expects Melinda to serve her entire sentence.
Jacque doesn't communicate with Melinda, nor has she spoken with her. Jacque is doing what she feels is the RIGHT thing to do. IMO she is correct.

I am calm, I'm not going crazy. It's clearly stated on the Welcome page of this site under RULES AND ETIQUETTE that bashing of Shanda and her family will not be tolerated here.

3) As the owner of this site, I want to make very clear, that there will be absolutely no bashing of Shanda's Family on these boards. I, and most of our members here, are firm supporters of Shanda, as well as Shanda's family members.
This is not the first time Lucyluck has called Jacque and Shanda horrible names. She's been warned before and is no longer wanted here if she cannot be respectful. People can express their opinions without being crude and disrespectful.
There are a lot of forums about this case. If anyone doesn't like the rules here, they are welcome to choose another forum to post on.
